FSc Ophthalmic Technology (2 Years Program)


FSc in Ophthalmic Technology is a comprehensive two-year intermediate program designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the eye care and ophthalmic healthcare sector. The 2 years medical ophthalmic technology endorsed by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education comprises of 2 years equivalent to F.Sc. This program combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills training, focusing on eye health assessment, vision screening, and basic ophthalmic diagnostic procedures.

Students after completion of FSc in Ophthalmic Technology can:

  • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of basic ophthalmic sciences, eye anatomy, and ophthalmic technology principles necessary for safe and effective practice.
  • Perform basic ophthalmic diagnostic procedures and vision screening techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding eye health maintenance and vision care.
  • Demonstrate ethical behavior, maintain patient confidentiality, and uphold professional standards in all aspects of ophthalmic technology practice.
  • Utilize basic ophthalmic technology and equipment relevant to modern eye care practice.


✅ Minimum 50% marks in matriculation with science subjects

Note: Punjab Medical Faculty (PMF) Diploma is nor considered equivalent to intermediate.

  • Complete the form with accurate information.
  • Submit the completed form along with required documents.
  • Collect acknowledgment receipt from the admissions office.

  • Fill out the application form correctly.
  • Upload copies of required documents.
  • Submit the completed online application.


Required Documents


All applicants must submit the copies of following documents:

  • SSC / O-Level Degree
  • Student B-Form / CNIC
  • Guardian CNIC
  • 4 Passport Size Pictures with Blue Background
  • Character Certificate
  • NOC (if applicable)
  • Domicile

  • All documents must be clear and legible.
  • Ensure all required documents are submitted to avoid application rejection.

  • Incomplete applications will not be processed.




Admission Policy


The admission regulations have been formulated by the Admission Committee based on recommendations from the Academic Council of Doctorsimes and may be subject to modifications in subsequent years as deemed necessary by the competent authority of Doctorsimes.


Admission Guidelines


Following are the admission guidelines, inclusive of amendments made to date, for securing admission in Doctorsimes:

  • All Pakistani nationals can apply.
  • Students must apply afresh every year; applications from previous years will not be entertained.
  • Result-awaiting students can apply.
  • The admission process will be completed within one month after the SSC/FSc results each year, except for certain circumstances.
  • No admission form will be accepted after the due date for submission of forms.
  • Candidates can visit the campus and apply by completing the admission form

  • Hostels facility is available.
  • Transportation service (pick and drop) will be provided.
  • Candidates claiming to be Muslim Hafiz-e-Quran shall attach three (03) attested copies of the Hafiz-e-Quran Certificate issued by a registered Madrassa.
  • Additional marks will be awarded to Muslim Hafiz-e-Quran candidates in their SSC/F.Sc or equivalent examination results as per institutional policy.
  • Students applying for additional marks on the basis of Muslim Hafiz-e-Quran will have to pass the Hafiz-e-Quran test organized by Doctorsimes.
